Product Description

Product Overview

HCPE is a type of chlorinated polymer with a chlo rine content ranging from 65% to 69%. As a thermoplastic resin, it appears transparent, featuring a hard and brittle texture, while simultaneously exhibiting excellent chemical stability, saltwater resistance, and UV aging resistance. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as tol uene, xylene, and esters, forming a colorless to pale - yellow transparent solution. When this solution is applied to the surfaces of substrates like metal, concrete, and paper, the solvent evaporates rapidly at room temperature, leaving behind a transparent, hard, and highly glossy glassy film. This film can effectively block the penetration of moisture and oxygen, demonstrating outstanding resistance to the erosion of various chemical media (including acids and alkalis). It not only provides corrosion protection for the substrate but can also serve as a decorative topcoat.

(A) Industrial Anticorrosive Coating Systems
1.Petrochemical and Energy Industry
    Application Scenarios: Inner walls of refinery reactors, outer walls of oil storage tanks, natural g as pipelines, coal chemical equipment (such as desulfurization towers).
    Technical Advantages: Resistant to sulfuric acid (≤70% concentration), hydrochlo ric acid (≤30% concentration), and salt spray (5% NaCl solution spray test up to 1,000 hours without corrosion). When the film thickness is 50-80μm, it can resist the penetration of sulfur compounds in cru de oil.
    Typical Case: A coastal LNG receiving station adopted an HCPE anticorrosive system, extending the equipment maintenance cycle from 2 years to 5 years in an environment with an annual salt spray deposition of 1.2kg/m².
2.Marine Engineering and Shipbuilding Field
    Underwater Structures: HCPE primer (zinc content 80%) + topcoat system for port steel piles and cross-sea bridge caps, resistant to seawater chloride ion (20,000ppm) erosion;
    Ship Decks: Forming a "sandwich" anticorrosive layer with glass fiber cloth, capable of withstanding long-term immersion in dies el and hydraulic oil (ASTM D471 test shows volume change rate <5%).

(B) Functional Special Coatings
1.Fireproof and Flame-retardant Systems
    Flame-retardant Mechanism: When the chlo rine content reaches over 65%, it releases HCl gas during combustion to inhibit free radical reactions, with a limiting oxygen index (LOI) ≥30%, conforming to GB 12441-2018 Class B1 standard;
    Application Scenarios: Cable tunnel coatings (thickness 1-2mm), fireproofing for steel structures of oil platforms (fire resistance limit ≥2 hours).
2.Functional Topcoats
    Weather-resistant Decorative Paints: Outdoor curtain wall coatings made by adding nano-TiO2, with a gloss retention rate >85% after QUV accelerated aging (1,000 hours);
    Conductive Antistatic Coatings: Surface resistance ≤109Ω after adding carbon black filler, used for the inner walls of gaso line storage tanks to prevent static electricity accumulation.
