1. PVC plastic products  

The core advantage of DBP is its ability to make rigid PVC plastic softer and more elastic. As a result, it is widely used in products requiring flexibility, such as plastic raincoats, shower curtains, tablecloths, artificial leather, hoses (e.g., garden hoses), toys (soft plastic parts), and the outer casing of wires and cables. Plastics containing DBP remain soft under various weather conditions, resist becoming brittle, and blend well with PVC. Many of the soft, flexible plastic products we encounter in daily life may contain DBP.

2. Paints and Coatings

DBP is commonly used in some paints and coatings to make the painted film more flexible, enhance adhesion, prevent cracking, and ensure smoother application. For example, in furniture paint and automotive touch-up paint, the use of DBP results in a smoother, more aesthetically pleasing finish that is also more durable. In the printing ink industry, it improves ink adhesion to materials and ensures more uniform printing results.

3. Adhesives and Sealants
DBP is primarily used in adhesives and sealants for bonding and caulking.
