Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a saturated polymer material, appearing as a white powder. It is non-toxic and odorless, with excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance. It also has good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring performance. It has good toughness (still flexible at -30°C) and good compatibility with other polymer materials. It has a relatively high decomposition temperature, and when decomposed, it produces HCl, which can catalyze the dechlorination reaction of CPE.
