Uses
1.Building Window & Door Profiles:
Core Function: This is the most extensive and critical application. Used in PVC window frames, sashes, and mullions.
Problem Solved: Pure PVC profiles are highly brittle and prone to cracking or breaking during installation (e.g., nailing, screwing), usage (e.g., strong wind impact, accidental collisions), or in low-temperature environments.
CPE Effect: Significantly enhances impact strength, typically achieving 300-500% or greater improvement. This ensures windows and doors withstand greater external impacts without fracturing, substantially improving product durability and safety. Concurrently, CPE's inherent weather resistance synergizes with stabilizers to resist UV radiation, high temperatures, freezing conditions, and other harsh outdoor elements, preventing re-embrittlement due to aging.
2.PVC Piping Systems:
Scope: Includes pressure pipes (cold/hot water), drain/waste/vent pipes (indoor/outdoor), sewer pipes, electrical conduits, and industrial pipes.
Problem Solved: PVC pipes face risks of impact damage, cracking, or freeze-fracturing during transportation, handling, installation (trenching, backfilling, joining), service (water hammer, external loads), and in cold climates.
CPE Effect: Addition of CPE drastically improves the impact resistance of pipes, especially at stress-concentrated points like fittings (elbows, tees, valves). It effectively absorbs impact energy, reducing breakage rates during construction and service. For buried pipes or those in cold regions, the low-temperature flexibility provided by CPE is critical, ensuring pipes remain pliable and resistant to brittle fracture even in freezing conditions.
3.PVC Sheets & Panels:
Types: Building siding/cladding, interior decorative panels, signage/display boards, furniture boards, chemical tank linings.
Problem Solved: Large-area sheets/panels are susceptible to cracking or shattering during handling, installation, or service due to bending, impact, dropping, or localized stress. Outdoor panels must also withstand wind loads and hail impact.
CPE Effect: Enhances overall toughness and impact resistance, making panels less prone to breakage. For outdoor panels, CPE's weather resistance extends service life. In chemical tank linings, impact toughness helps resist impacts from contained materials or external operations.
4.PVC Injection Molded Parts:
Products: Pipe fittings (elbows, couplings, valves, flanges), electrical switch/socket housings, distribution boxes, equipment housings/guards, tool handles, planters, storage/carrying cases.
Problem Solved: Molded parts often have complex geometries with stress concentrators like wall thickness variations, sharp corners, and ga tes. Pure PVC is highly prone to cracking at these points due to impact or internal stress. Tool handles need to withstand impact or drops.
